    Black Moon Cosmetics Review

    I’m a sucker for good branding. Black Moon Cosmetics is an independent cosmetics company with an eye for whimsical, gothic artwork that presents an alluring, cohesive voice and look. Being made in small batches in the USA with cruelty-free products, how could I resist them?  I can’t remember exactly how I found this brand, but I know instagram was involved. As far as indie-brand liquid lipsticks go, these are the highest performing ones, though the colors are a bit limited at the moment. I first tried Purgatory, their almost-black purple. If you like dark lipsticks, like I do, these can be hard to come by, especially in the much-needed long lasting formula.…

    As many of you may know, I work for a publishing company that specializes in academic research. Being immersed in the industry, I’ve become passionate about the democratization of knowledge and accessiblility of information to expedite human progress. Imagine being treated by a doctor unaware of the most cutting edge treatment, because it was published in a journal that charges per article for access, how frustrating that would be. This is why Open Access publishing is so important, and why we should prioritize progress and innovation above a publishing companies’ profits.
